The Orange County Teacher Pathway Partnership at Fullerton College is designed to encourage students interested in teaching to participate in a pre-professional preparation program. High School and College students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of programs and events designed to provide students with a success college plan leading to a career in education.

Jeannie Mitsch

Teacher Pathway Counselor

Transferred from Fullerton College to UCLA and received an undergraduate degree in Biology. She then graduated from the University of La Verne where she received a master’s degree in Educational Counseling and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling. Constance Walsh

Teacher Pathway Counselor

Constance Walsh has served as an adjunct instructor at Fullerton College in the Psychology department since fall 2015. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has over ten years of experience in community mental health. Originally from Portland, Oregon, she moved to Southern California in 2008, after earning her Masters in Social Work from Portland State University. Constance also provides academic counseling support to OC Teacher Pathway Partnership and EOPS students. She loves working with students to help them realize their boundless potential. Kristin Minahan

Teacher Pathway Program Project Coordinator

For the past 3 years, Kristin has worked as a Project Coordinator with the Fullerton Joint Union High School District where she does outreach with high school students interested in a teaching career.  She encourages students to enroll in teaching related courses, attend teacher workshops/conferences, and to participate in teacher clubs on their campuses.  Kristin received her B.A. in Communication Studies at UC Santa Barbara and her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at CSULA.  She taught at the elementary school level for over nine years and currently Kristin enjoys helping students navigate their pathway to becoming a teacher! Camina Sylvestro

Teacher Pathway Program Project Coordinator

Camina Sylvestro has been a Project Coordinator for the Fullerton College Teacher Pathway Program for the past three years.  She provides outreach to Anaheim Union High School students who aspire to become teachers. Camina supports students to pursue their teaching career by encouraging them to attend teaching conferences/workshops; enroll in teaching related courses while still in high school; and to participate in teacher clubs on their campuses.  Camina received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Illinois State University and Master of Arts from University of Tulsa in the field of education. Throughout her career as an educator, Camina has been a teacher, vocational counselor and administrator. She’s passionate about guiding students as they follow their pathway to a teaching career. The Teacher Pathway Cohort Program is a cohort of students dedicated to pursuing a career in education. The program includes a Teacher Pathway bridge program and designated course sections for Fall and Spring.

College Orientation and Career Exploration Classes

Counseling 100

This course is recommended for all incoming college freshmen and satisfies
the California Community Colleges matriculation requirements of assessment,
orientation and counseling. Students will develop an educational plan and learn
about college programs and services.
